Our Team

Working together on a common mission

Board

As a nonprofit, SeeMore's Board carries three main responsibilities:

  • Mission -- Defining SeeMore's mission and ensuring that it is adhered to in our strategy, operations, and culture
  • Strategy -- Establishing longer-term strategy and monitoring current operations for fidelity to that strategy
  • Fiduciary -- Ensuring that the organization operates in a way that is both legal and ethical

All Board members have either earned their CSM Certificates or will shortly.

Jan Bray (Board Chair)

Jan is the CEO of the industry-led Coalition for Career Development Center, which brings together leaders from industry, government, education, and non-profit organizations to identify practice and policy to improve career development. Before this, Jan served for 13 years as the Executive Director of the Association for Career and Technical Education, the central organizing body for K-12 and college CTE programs around the country. In addition, Jan serves on the boards of a number of industry organizations, and is a key consultant to the National Association of Workforce Boards. Jan has a BA in History and earned a master's degree in Adult Education from George Washington University. Jan brings an encyclopedic knowledge of CTE education and career guidance, as well as years of experience with non-profit boards.

Edward Dunar

Edward is the Director of the Meister Eckhart Center at Albertus Magnus College. Having taught first and sixth grade classes in Philadelphia, Edward then earned a Masters in Divinity from Harvard and a PhD in Sytematic Theology from Fordham University. Edward's interest range around the call of the church in relation to social and racial justice in cities and neighborhoods, and he brings a philosophical perspective to inform board discussions.

Ande Durojaiye

Ande is the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences at Miami University, and Vice President overseeing the regional campuses. Before this, he served as Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Northern Kentucky University, and earlier Director of Institutional Equity at Michigan State University. His education is quite varied: a bachelor's in biology, with a JD from Georgetown University (with time as a civil rights attorney in the US Dept. of Education) and an Ed.D from Vanderbilt. Ande brings to the board experience in the nuts-and-bolts operations of higher education, and the challenges faced in delivering equitable solutions.

Miriam Goldberg

Chief Education Officer

Miriam is SeeMore's Chief Education Officer, but the title does no justice to the breadth of work that she does. With a BA from Yale in Computational Social Sciences and a masters in Sociology from Columbia, she brings perspectives from psychology, sociology, and related fields, as well as experience in data analysis and experimental design. She has served as co-architect of much of the pedagogy of SeeMore's products and is the fount of knowledge of implementation of our products, and also is on the business development team.

Michael Meaney

Mike is Head of Learning @ Scale at Multiverse, an online apprenticeship service. Previously, Mike was a Senior UX Researcher at Meta/Facebook, with a focus on increasing equity in the delivery of Facebook services. Mike has a unique educational background with a BS in International Affairs from Georgetown, a Master's of Education from Arizona State University, and a PhD from Cambridge University, where his dissertation focused on equity in online education. He has a long-standing earlier commitment to innovation in higher education access. Mike brings to the board a wide-ranging practical understanding of how online education both fails and succeeds.

Jacqueline Smith

Jacqueline is currently Vice President at the ASU Foundation at Arizona State University. As a Georgetown Law JD, she is also Professor of Practice who focuses on the intersection of university design, higher education, and the law. Before this, she served various roles as an innovation leader at ASU (widely considered one of the most innovative universities in the country) in expanding equity access to higher education. Jacqueline earned a BA in mathematics and economics from Georgetown. In her spare time(!), she serves on the Board of Governors of the Maricopa Community Colleges, one of the largest community college systems in the country with 200,000 students. Jacqueline brings boundless energy to the board, and earned her CSM Certificate within days of learning about it.

Team

Every member of the SeeMore team, whatever their primary function (programming, curriculum development, coaching, business development) has a deep personal commitment to changing the ways that things are done and helping as many people as possible.

We are a relatively flat organization, and everyone works for and with everyone else as needed. We make decisions mainly by consensus, to ensure that any lingering doubts are taken seriously. We don't believe in sunken costs, and if something isn't right, we keep plugging away until it is.

View from our office window

SeeMore's offices are simultaneously energetic and relaxed, with a beautiful view of the Boulder flatirons.

Clark Farmer

Coaching Lead

Clark is our primary expert coach, and also occasionally works in curriculum development. When he's not working for SeeMore Impact Labs, Clark teaches in the Cinema Studies department at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is also a certified elementary school teacher and former literacy specialist. Clark has a BA from the University of Chicago in English Literature and a PhD from the University of Iowa in Communications Studies.

Julia Genyuk

Lead Developer

Julia serves as lead software developer, bringing a diverse set of experiences, including working as a full stack developer for a variety of mainly nonprofit organizations. Since joining SeeMore in 2011, Julia has been the lead for programming, software architecture, and design on pedagogical algorithms. Julia earned a BS in Applied Mathematics from Gubkin Russian State University and has a PhD in Mathematics from the Ohio State.

David Goldberg

CEO

As CEO, David focuses mainly on business development and expanding the scope of SeeMore's reach and mission. David is a molecular biologist who was among the first to transfer a gene back into a higher organism (curing fruit flies of alcoholism!). He then "went bad" as serial entrepreneur in 20 different companies and as many industries and technologies (geophysics, image indexing, consumer electronics, medical diagnostics, and more). David co-founded SeeMore's predecessor, CSMlearn, and served as the initial co-architect of the pedagogy, the initial software developer (from which SeeMore is still recovering), and is on the trash take-out rotation. He has a BS from Yale University, a PhD from Caltech, and postdoctoral work at Harvard and University of Cambridge in molecular biology, with additional postdoctoral work in artificial intelligence from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Marty Goldberg

Chief Operating Officer

Marty is both Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of SeeMore Impact Labs. With a BS in Biology from Earlham College and Master's in Library Science from UCLA, she started her career as a medical librarian at the National Library of Medicine and USC, before starting one of the first commercial biotech libraries. More recently, she has participated in a number of startup ventures, and now handles much of the back-office operations of SeeMore, as well as being a prime contributor to many of the business development discussions.

He is one of the leading system architects in Colorado, and has designed and operated high-volume websites for a number of large corporations and Internet startups. CJ also teaches core systems courses at CU Boulder. CJ has a BS in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
